Happy Holidays, did you manage to get away this Easter?  We as a family went away for a few days to a farm in a small village near Ludlow, in Shropshire. It was quite remote, the closest shop was five miles away, luckily enough there was a pub that was much closer, only a short stumble away. The weather was a bit crazy over the weekend with storm Katie hitting the UK; we had snow on the farm on the Sunday morning, whilst most of the rest of the country had torrential rain. Fingers crossed for better weather from now on. As I write it’s Clubs Unite this weekend, at Brean Beach, if the last couple of years are anything to go by, then this year should be a cracker. I hope they make loads of money for this year’s charity.

This month we have some more great buses for you. My personal favourite is Richard Clayton’s Bomber Bus, airbrushed to resemble an aging American jet bomber at the front and something slightly hotter, in all senses of the word, at the back. It is a low mileage, high-powered tour de force of the air brusher’s art. “Midnight Rose” is a feature that gives us a view of a how a T4 should be done, from a more feminine perspective. The juxtaposition of these two buses shows all that is good about our scene. Uberbus share with us their recent demo bus, a Blackberry T5 with a cool denim interior, take a look on page 16, it really is cool. For yet more balance, Custom Camper Solutions show us their bosses’ bus, a sharp looking orange T4.

That leaves us with a T4 day van that offers retro-chic coupled to a famous brand, I’ll give you hint “It’s The Real Thing” and a very special, limited edition T5. Only 150 Sportline X’s left the factory, and this one has been developed even further.

Elsewhere in the magazine, Grant is continuing to re-pimp his ride, before taking a break to knock up some tasty curry in his Man Van and Pan column. Further afield, Jeremy and Paula Dear are roaming El Salvador, Nicaragua and Honduras in their T4. Whilst closer to home, we visit Berkley Castle’s VW show and Shakespeare County Raceway’s Volkslife.

Shockingly, it’s only thirteen weeks until one of the best shows of the year, Camper Jam.  Plans are well under way again for this year’s show and once again I have been asked to organise the special displays on the Saturday, so if you have a van you want to show off to the Camper Jammers then please drop me an email with all your details on.
