How many of you worry when it gets to that time of the year when your bus needs a new MOT? If you’re like me it is a bit of a concern. I always have a good look around my bus for anything obvious and then when I’m happy I take to the garage. On my camper his time round, all that needed to be done was to replace couple of tyres and that was only an advisory. Next week the Golf goes in, so fingers crossed for a similarly satisfactory outcome.

Another question. Did you make the trip down to Brean for Clubs Unite last month? It was my first time and I was very impressed with the amount and variety of vehicles that turned up. The tide was quite high first thing in the morning, so vehicles weren’t allowed on to the beach until just before 11am. As soon as the floodgates were opened (never have gates been more appropriately named) the vehicles poured in and that carried on for a good couple of hours. There must have been over 700 VW’s on the beach come the end. Together they raised over £1900, a magnificent sum!

This month’s issue is as packed as ever. The six feature buses include possibly the most expensive T5 conversion that we’ve ever featured, built by Three Bridge Campers to a very discerning owner’s specification. At the other end of the scale there is a self-built, cow themed T4 camper, with matching trailer. Eccentric? Yes, and all the better for it. We also have a much misunderstood rat wrapped T5 that has literally been an Internet sensation. Next is a light blue T4 that the owner had converted, then once he got the van home he ripped most of it out, so that he could fit another interior, one that suited his needs slightly better. After that comes a black T5 with a lush and unusual red interior, owned by a dubber-come-lately. Finally we have another T4, built as a home from home for two long distance truckers. All the regular show reviews, how to’s, travel and lifestyle features follow, as do one or two surprises.

Can I remind you that Camper Jam is only just around the corner? I still have a few spaces left for the special displays on Saturday.  Do you want to show your bus? If so, just send me an email to the usual address. The Show & Shine is also filling up fast and if you want to enter that, go to www.cameperjam.com and fill out the entry form.

Enjoy your travels and let me know how you get on.

Happy Camping
