One up, five down

It’s all a question of altitude, Paul Frape went up, his ground braking (pun intended) ‘Swamper’ T4 is lifted by +25mm. Of course that’s not the whole story behind Paul’s ‘Thyncro’ there’s much more to it. Rachael Green went the other way, she’s down -40mm with her Tiki inspired T4 camper. Jonny Ashworth agreed with Rachael, so -40mm was his choice for the best drop for his T5 slidepods bus. Glynn Busby went a little bit further, -55mm was his measurement of choice with his unique T4. Whilst T5 jockeys, Rick Guy and Lee Etches went all the way, with air-ride fitted when the bags are empty, they’re both practically laying frame.

Add into this height debate a cool antique leather interior, some stunning hexagonal airbrushing, a Passat CC rock ‘n’ roll bed (no really), some moving furniture, a Polynesian paint job and a 4-motion with Caravelle intentions and you have the ingredients for a magazine master class.

But there’s still more, we’ve been to Southsea for Beach Buggin, Bristol for the Volksfest, Poland and Slovakia to do some serious training and Poole to see Uberbus. We fit a new audio system to a T5 and investigate battery-charging issues on the new T6. We check into Autoholic’s Kitchen to see what’s cooking, David goes west, Heck, we even took to the air to cover Run The Ring!  All this while Alan stayed at home and wrote a new law and Jimmer did what Jimmer does.

For all this and much, much more, grab a copy of the best selling VW magazine out there!
